on Trial" Educational DVD Available
Dave
Westol, principal of Limberlost Consulting and former Executive Director of
Theta Chi, presentation "Hazing on Trial" has been an integral part of the
curriculum of the FRMT Risk Management College for a number of years and has

Willis
wishes to provide a video based educational resource to assist chapter advisors
or involved members to introduce practical, simple risk management strategies
to local undergraduates.
Throughout
the presentation, Dave Westol does an outstanding job of keeping the attention
of his audience with his wit and wisdom while maintaining a presence to
encourage change in chapters engaged in hazing "traditions".
In the DVD
presentation, Dave will take participants through the events leading to the
hazing death of a pledge/associate/new member. He does this by bringing the
audience inside the events of the chapter and introducing the players involved
in the incident. Within his presentation Westol identifies the next step towards
reduction or removal of hazing is clarifying why hazing happens and, most importantly,
how it may be replaced.

As the timing of risk management messages is critical, Willis
recommends providing the presentation prior to the commencement of pre-initiation
education programs each semester, quarter or term. For your convenience and to
ensure it is always available, the facilitator's guide is included on the DVD
as a printable resource document.
